The Japanese Art of tying the body in ropes, which seems simple. Yet its touch and impact on our body and soul transcends the here and now. The rope invites us to unwind, to let go, to feel deeper, to drop into the body, to go inside, to finally….receive.

Kati Bird 

Kati is a renowned Shibari Artist & Sorceress, specializing in Somatic Trauma Therapy, Sacred Kink, & Creative Intimacy.

Kati creates transformative spaces where conscious connection and play are pathways to depth, healing, transcendence, and meaning through ritualized symbolism. Her approach is rooted in presence through sacred touch, tantra-inspired practices, authentic relating, non-violent communication, conscious kink/BDSM, and creative intimacy.

Kati has taught & tied internationally, including as a featured educator for the renowned psychotherapist Esther Perel, where she brought her unique perspective and transmission of creative intimacy with the rope.   With expertise in kink and play spaces, she emphasizes boundaries, consent, and communication as gateways to expansion for personal and collective healing, expression, and freedom.

ACCOMMODATION

Multi-bedroom mountain home at the peak of the Big Cottonwood Canyon with a sauna, hot tub, fireplace, and spacious communal areas.

Queens Haven ↠

A light-filled A-frame loft with four Queen beds with an ensuite bathroom.  Forest view with natural lighting, this room offers a cozy sisterly  experience.  

↞Starry Night

A comfortable shared room with two Queen beds with a darker sultry vibe.  Soft textures and natural light create a calm atmosphere.

Mountain Nook ↠

This room features one Queen bed in a naturally lit room within an ensuite bathroom. 

Can be booked by a duo/friends/couple to share. 

↞ Snow Shoe

A snow shoe den with two full beds and shared bathroom.  A quiet cozy den themed on Brighton snow shoe winters.

Local Home ↠

This option is for local Salt Lake City women or those staying nearby.  You are welcome to join & commute daily to the Retreat House, staying at your own accommodations.
